Kindergarten Age Requirement
2025-2026 School Year
Kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year will be open March 3rd - April 4th if your child meets the age requirement.
Any child who will be five years of age on or before September 1, 2025 and who meets all residency requirements is eligible to attend Kindergarten during the 2025-2026 school year.
If you would like to request an age requirement waiver, please complete the appropriate forms.
2024-2025 Current School Year
Kindergarten registration for the current 2024-2025 school year remains open if your child meets the age requirement.
Any child new to town, who was five years of age on or before September 1, 2024 and meets all residency requirements, is eligible to attend Kindergarten during the current 2024-2025 school year.
2025-2026 Registration Forms
Kindergarten Registration packets are available online (see links in expandable section below); and paper packets will be available at the Memorial School foyer and at the East Hampton Public Library starting February 28th, 2025.

Please contact the school after the deadline of April 4, 2025, for a case by case review.
Applications for the next school year usually become available in February/March. Please check back here then for the updated forms for the coming school year.
2024-2025 Registration Forms
Additional required documentation include:
Birth certificate indicating mother and father
You can obtain a copy of a full size certificate from the town hall in the town they were born in or the town you resided in when they were born. CT wallet-size birth certificate is NOT acceptable
Proof of primary custodial parent's residency in East Hampton
Copy of tax bill, utility bill, phone bill, lease agreement or closing paperwork
