The East Hampton Board of Education wants to wish our outgoing Food and Nutrition Director, Jen Bove, all the best in her next phase of her career as the Education Services Specialist, Child Nutrition Department, with the CT Department of Education.
Jen was instrumental in bringing local food into our school cafeterias and connecting vegetable gardening to curriculum in our elementary schools. At the middle school she helped pioneer a cooking club to get students passionate about preparing meals.
She took on her most dedicated role during the pandemic, when under her leadership the entire cafeteria staff worked tirelessly to provide free to go meals to East Hampton families. Our district was very fortunate to have had Jen at the helm, and while she will be missed, we wish her the best in her new endeavor.
