These students received a Positive Office Referral because they read over 1,000,000 words each as part of Mrs. Gieras’ ELA class reading challenge.
Students learned about Lunar New Year by putting together an incredible display in the library these past weeks. Mr. Smith contributed many interesting items from his travels to China. We were thrilled to have him visit and talk about our "sister" school, JianHua, in Bejing. The paper lantern display showcases the hopes of students for the new year.
Mr. Verner, Principal from East Hampton High School came to visit EHMS to work on transitioning the 8th graders into high school next year. Letting them know all that is available, what kinds of classes to take, sports and clubs. It's a very exciting time for the students as they move on to the next stage after Middle School.

Due to the potential for icy roads and dangerous driving conditions later in the morning or early afternoon, there will be no school on Friday, February 4 for the East Hampton Public Schools.
6th graders Aubrey Butler and Emily Rawlinson were recognized with a positive referral by showing responsibility, pride and compassion. Congratulations!
Today the 8th Graders got to enjoy a Hot chocolate bar for those who completed the Book Bingo Reading Challenge.
During this week's math minutes students are given (4) 4's to form every whole number from 0-20 using all of the math operations.

Book Bingo has also been fun for the students. They are working towards a hot cocoa bar and cookie decorating for a prize.

Panther Chefs this week made "Comfort Foods". Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, chicken pot pie and corn bread.
