Good Morning East Hampton Middle School (GMEHMS) has restarted its daily live Morning Show overseen by Mr. Briggs. The Morning Show is like a morning news program for our school community. Students can watch the news each morning in their homerooms and receive all the important information they may need for the day. Our anchors give the announcements for the day, sports scores and stories about our Panther teams, and other interesting facts and tidbits. The Morning Show is produced and run by students. As the Morning Show continues throughout the year, we hope to include stories of local interest written, directed, and produced by our Middle School students.

Today's Math Counts meeting! #gomath
Today we celebrated the first quarter with PBIS activities. The students had the opportunity to play volleyball, listen to music, do crafts, go on a virtual nature walk or watch a movie. Good job to all the students for having a great first quarter!
Unit 1 of Second Step focused on creating a goal, writing a goal, and creating an action plan. Today, students put those skills to the test with the Marshmallow Challenge. After planning with a group, they had 10 minutes to build the tallest tower by using 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 marshmallow, 2 feet of string, and 1 foot of tape. After ten minutes, students reflected on their original plan. Students did a fabulous job working together, problem solving, and reflecting. Some of the towers were over 3 feet tall! Great job to all students!
Mrs. Kalisz's homeroom earned a special visit from Ardo, the police dog to celebrate raising the most money for UNICEF. Great job everyone!
